We are very sorry to report that Cllr. Lucy Lavender has recently resigned from the Council. Lucy was our Vice Chair and a very active member. Her departure leaves another vacancy on the Council and we are seeking enthusiastic and engaged residents to join us. New councillors are vital to ensure the Parish Council continues to function effectively and to represent the interests of the village.

Parish councillors play an important role in representing the local community, making decisions on behalf of residents and helping to shape the future of the village. The Council is responsible for a range of local matters, including responding to planning applications, maintaining community spaces and working with other authorities to improve services and facilities.

No prior experience is necessary. What is required is an interest in local issues, a commitment to attend meetings and the willingness to work with others for the benefit of the parish. Training and support are available.

If you are interested in finding out more about the role, or would like to discuss what is involved before putting your name forward, please contact the Parish Council for further information.
