Marlesford Parish Council is working to improve the footpath that runs from the south-west end of the village to the Fiveways roundabout.

The existing path runs directly alongside the A12, making it a dangerous and intimidating route for pedestrians. With the growing volume of HGV traffic linked to Sizewell C and other major energy projects, the situation is expected to get even worse.

To support the case for a safer, upgraded path, the Council has secured the backing of Patrick Spencer MP. His team has launched a short online questionnaire to better understand how many people would benefit from a new and improved route.
