Each year, parish councils must make their financial records available for public inspection for a fixed period. This is known as the Public Rights Period.

During this time, any resident has the legal right to view the Parish Council’s financial documents, including the Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) and supporting papers. You can also ask questions about the accounts to the external auditor.

This is part of ensuring local councils remain transparent and accountable to the communities they serve.
Hacheston Parish Council is currently in the Public Rights Period and it ends on 14th July.
